The results of the international project TURBO (The Universities’ Reaction to Big Obstructions: Building resilient higher education to respond and manage societal crises) continue to be implemented in the educational practice of Ushynsky University.
Summer is traditionally associated with a vacation period and a certain slowdown in university life. However, the scientific, project and international activities of South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K. D. Ushynsky do not stop for a day.
On August 31, 2026, on the eve of Knowledge Day, a conference of the labor collective was held at Ushinsky University. The agenda included the issue “Report on the results of the work of Ushynsky University for 2025/2026 academic year and the university’s work plan for 2026/2027 academic year.”
On August 25–28, 2026, in Lviv, the team of the South Ukrainian Center for Professional Development of Managers and Specialists in the Socioeconomic Sphere of Ushynsky University conducted training for teachers of secondary education institutions within the framework of the implementation of the author's course by Mykola Viknyansky "Entrepreneurship and Innovation". Teachers from 46 educational institutions in Lviv joined the project.
On August 25, 2026, within the framework of scientific consulting, carried out on the basis of a cooperation agreement with the Center for Professional Development of Pedagogical Workers of the Chornomorsk City Council of the Odesa District of Odesa Region, a workshop “Physical Culture Lesson Without Barriers: Inclusive Practices and Solutions” was held.
On August 25, 2026, a professional methodological seminar was held at the Department of History of Ukraine. The central event of the meeting was the presentation of the dissertation research of the postgraduate student of the department, Iryna Mykolaivna Artyukh, on the topic “The Formation and Development of Primary Church Education in the Kherson Diocese (XIX - early XX centuries)”.
In accordance with the Decree of the President of Ukraine dated August 24, 2026 No. 755/2026 “On the Awarding of State Awards of Ukraine on the Occasion of the 35th Anniversary of Ukraine’s Independence”, the senior lecturer of the Department of Fine Arts of the state institution “South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K. D. Ushynsky”, artist MALIK Oleksii Volodymyrovych, was awarded the honorary title “Honored Artist of Ukraine”.
In accordance with the Decree of the President of Ukraine dated August 24, 2026 No. 755/2026 “On the Awarding of State Awards of Ukraine on the Occasion of the 35th Anniversary of Ukraine’s Independence”, KRASNOZHON Andrii Vasylyovych, the Rector of the state institution “South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K. D. Ushynsky”, was awarded the honorary title “Honored Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine”.
