On September 8, an online master class on the topic “The Impact of Insomnia (Sleep Disorders) in Modern Ukrainian Realities” was held on the basis of the platform of the educational laboratory “SKREPKA”, which operates at the Educational and Scientific Institute of Psychology and Social Sciences of Ushynsky University.
Associate Professor of the Department of Theory and Methods of Practical Psychology Iryna Valentynivna Melnychuk (host and author of the training on Psychosomatics: Fundamentals of Psychological Health and Psychotherapy) enthusiastically shared her experience on various aspects of the problem of sleep disorders.
During the meeting, the causes of insomnia (mental, psychosomatic and social) were considered; insomnia was characterized as a symptom of mental disorders - depression, anxiety, PTSD.
The author showed how the body reacts to chronic insomnia and analyzed the consequences of chronic insomnia for the psyche, body, and quality of life.
Separate time was devoted to psychotherapeutic methods of work.

All present were able to understand the importance of an integrative approach in working with insomnia.
