Public discussion of the educational and scientific program (ESP) "History and Archaeology" for applicants of the third (educational and scientific) level of higher education

On June 17, at an extended meeting of the Department of History of Ukraine, a public discussion of the educational and scientific program (ESP) “History and Archaeology” for applicants of the third (educational and scientific) level of higher education took place.

The guarantor of the ESP, Professor Andrii Vasylyovych Krasnozhon, presented the updated program and highlighted the positive results of its internal monitoring at the university. Special attention was paid to structural changes in the formation of competencies and program learning outcomes in accordance with the requirements of the 8th level of the National Qualifications Framework.

Stakeholders actively joined the discussion. In particular, Svitlana Volodymyrivna Ivanova, a leading researcher at the Department of Archaeology of the Northern Black Sea Region and Crimea of ​​the Institute of Archaeology of the NAS of Ukraine, emphasized the importance of further implementation of the ESP “History and Archaeology” and noted significant positive changes in the program compared to the previous year.

We also heard positive feedback and constructive suggestions from other stakeholders, including Oleksandr Volodymyrovych Dobrzhansky, the Dean of the Faculty of History, Political Science and International Relations of Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University and Oleksandr Viktorovych Naboka, the Head of the Department of History and Archaeology of the Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University.

The discussion was also attended by members of the ESP support group: Head of the Department of History of Ukraine Olena Petrivna Sekerska, Head of the Department of World History and Methods of Its Teaching Stanislav Valentynovich Kovalsky, and postgraduate student Rostyslav Bessonov.

As a result of the substantive and constructive discussion, a decision was made to approve the educational and scientific program taking into account the comments and recommendations expressed and to continue work on further improving historical education at Ushynsky University.
