On June 15, 2026, a delegation of scientific and pedagogical workers of the State Institution "South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K. D. Ushynsky" consisting of four people participated in the final workshop of the international project TURBO - Social Adaptation of IDPs in Ukrainian Regions: Sharing Experience between Ukrainian HEIs, which was held offline at Kozmynsky University, Warsaw (Poland).
The delegation included: Nataliya Chernenko, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor, Coordinator of the TURBO project at Ushynsky University; Olena Bulgakova, Doctor of Psychological Sciences, Professor, Dean of the Faculty of Preschool Pedagogy and Psychology; Anastasia Yumrukuz, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor, Head of the Department of Germanic and Oriental Languages and Methods of Their Teaching; Iryna Brynza, Candidate of Psychological Sciences, Associate Professor, Head of the Center for Conflict Coaching, Supervision and Mediation.
The event brought together representatives of higher education institutions of Ukraine, international partners, civil society organizations and other stakeholders to summarize the project implementation, discuss the achieved results and disseminate successful practices of social adaptation of internally displaced persons.
During the opening session of the workshops, representatives of international partners – Nord University and IFSA – presented a general overview of the implementation of the TURBO project, its key results, and also outlined the features of the implementation of programs to support internally displaced persons in different regions of Ukraine.
The representatives of Ushynsky University presented a report on the topic of “Strategic and Crisis Management”, in which they highlighted the university’s experience in organizing the educational process in conditions of uncertainty and crisis challenges, in particular in the context of supporting internally displaced persons. Special attention was paid to issues of intersectoral cooperation with civil society organizations, social partners and other stakeholders, which contributes to the effective implementation of educational and social adaptation programs for IDPs.
During the final discussion, workshop participants discussed the results of the project, the challenges that arose during its implementation, as well as the prospects for further development of international cooperation in the field of supporting internally displaced persons through educational and social initiatives.
