Historians began another archaeological practice in the village of Orlivka under the guidance of the head of the Archaeological Laboratory, Doctor of Historical Sciences I. V. Bruyako. According to the curriculum, archaeological practice is conducted as an out-of-town field expedition at archaeological heritage sites - the Kartal settlement near the village of Orlivka and on Prymorsky Boulevard.

On June 1, the Department of History of Ukraine held an orientation conference on completing educational archaeological practice for first-year students of the A4 specialty Secondary Education (History). The practice leaders - I. V. Bruyako and V. I. Vodko spoke in detail about the purpose of archaeological practice, the necessary equipment and safety precautions when conducting archaeological research. Students also received recommendations on preparing reports on the implementation of the archaeological practice program and communication with teachers.

In the first days of the internship, the applicants were introduced to the methodology of identifying archaeological sites, their measurements, recording, compiling a description and characteristics, and learned how to break up excavations. The internship program also includes familiarization with archaeological monuments of the area and visits to local history museums in the cities of Reni and Izmiil.

The leaders and student interns sincerely thank the Reni City Council and its chairman Plekhov I. V., as well as the state border services, which issued permits, carried out control and facilitated the organization of travel. Your help and support were an important factor in the successful implementation of the internship.

We wish them success and interesting finds!
