On June 11, 2026, the Faculty of Fine Arts and Graphics of Ushynsky University had the honor of presenting an exhibition of academic and creative works of students of the Faculty of Fine Arts, entitled “Luka Basanets & Co” for students and teachers of the Faculty of Visual Arts and Design of the Ion Creangă State Pedagogical University, Facultatea Arte Vizuale și Design, UPS “Ion Creangă” Chisinau, Moldova.

The audience got acquainted with the results of the students’ educational and creative work under the guidance of the senior lecturer of the Department of Fine Arts, Luka Basanets. Graphic works from the master’s archive were shown, collected over 30 years of teaching a unique methodology for teaching drawing techniques for mastering the culture of the expressive language of the complex art of drawing in academic settings and abstract compositions.

The exhibition was presented by the Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Visual Arts and Design, Ms. Rodica Spataru, from Ion Creangă University, and by the Head of the Department of Fine Arts, Ms. Anna Nosenko, from Ushynsky University.

The event took place within the framework of more than 20 years of fruitful international cooperation between the art faculties of the Universities of Chisinau and Odessa.
