On Friday, the 15th, within the framework of the all-Ukrainian innovative educational project “Robotics Design System in Computer Science Lessons in Basic Schools”, a working meeting with teachers - participants of the project was held in the format of a methodological master class.
During the event, teachers were presented with the main types of methodological support for innovative computer experiment lessons: approaches to planning educational activities, structuring practical tasks, organizing work with robotic models, as well as the possibilities of using such classes to form research, algorithmic and design skills in students.
A feature of the meeting was the format of a practical exchange of experience “2 on 2”: two robotic models were demonstrated by specialists from Ushynsky University, two more were invited participants of the event. The students from secondary education institutions also joined the demonstration of guest developments, which gave the meeting special practical value and showed real results of implementing robotic design in the educational process.
The event confirmed the readiness of teachers not only to master the proposed methodological approaches, but also to actively develop them in their own practice. The presented models and discussed solutions will become the basis for further improvement of educational and methodological materials, in particular examples of technological maps of innovative computer science lessons.
South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K. D. Ushynsky and the Laboratory of Artificial Intelligence and Robotic Systems of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Natural and Mathematical Sciences, Computer Science and Management continue to provide methodological support to the schools participating in the project, supporting the development of modern, practice-oriented approaches to teaching computer science in basic schools.
