All-Ukrainian Conference "Inclusive Resource Center in New Socio-Educational Challenges: Scientific and Practical Dimension"

On May 19, 2026, the All-Ukrainian conference "Inclusive Resource Center in New Socio-Educational Challenges: Scientific and Practical Dimension" was held, organized by Mykola Yarmachenko Institute of Special Pedagogy and Psychology of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. The event became an important professional platform for scientists, managers, specialists of inclusive resource centers, teachers and community representatives from all over Ukraine.

The conference was held within the framework of the implementation of an innovative educational project of the all-Ukrainian level on the topic "Organizational and Methodological Conditions for the Activities of Inclusive Resource Centers during the Periods of War and Post-War Revival" (2023–2028).

Representatives of Ushynsky University took part in the conference: Sokolova Hanna Borysivna - Doctor of Psychological Sciences, Professor, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine, Director of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Physical Culture, Sports and Special Education, and Orlenko Iryna Mykolayivna, Doctor of Philosophy, Associate Professor of the Department of Special and Inclusive Education, who, within the framework of the implementation of the All-Ukrainian Project, provide scientific and organizational support as a scientific consultant and responsible executor, respectively.

Sokolova Hanna Borysivna addressed the conference participants with a welcoming speech, emphasizing the importance of professional consolidation of the scientific community and practitioners in order to develop a high-quality system of support for children with special educational needs in the context of modern social challenges.

A meaningful report on the topic "Model of a single space for optimizing the work of inclusive resource centers, teachers, educational institutions and education management bodies" was presented by Orlenko Iryna Mykolayivna. The report focused on the need for interagency cooperation, coordination of the activities of all participants in the educational process, and the creation of an effective system for supporting children with special educational needs.

During the conference, the participants not only outlined current problems and challenges in the field of inclusive and special education, but also presented real practices, effective models of cooperation, and their own experience in solving them. Particular attention was paid to issues of professional cooperation, interagency partnership, and joining forces to ensure the right of every child to quality education and support.

The conference participants were unanimous in the importance of preserving and developing special education in Ukraine as a necessary component of the educational system. It was emphasized that inclusion should be implemented thoughtfully, professionally, and in accordance with the individual needs of the child, and each child and their family should have the right to choose the most effective educational path.

We sincerely thank the organizers and all participants of the conference for fruitful cooperation, professional dialogue, openness to the exchange of experience, and meaningful speeches. It is such events that demonstrate the unity of science and education, when theoretical developments are combined with practical experience and contribute to the search for new solutions for the development of a modern system of support for children with special educational needs.
