The students of our institute participated in the 2-round International Festival-Competition “Spring Stars 2026”. The founders of the competition are:

Association of Pop Artists of Ukraine;

National Public Television and Radio Company of Ukraine;

Television program “Zironka”.

The competition has been held in Odesa for many years in a mixed format. Participation in the 2nd round involves performances in the halls of the Evangelical Reformed Presbyterian Church, in and “Maskie”. The gala concert is also held in the Rotunda of Taras Shevchenko Park.

This spring the competition was held from 11.05 to 16.05.

Our students performed in various categories: piano, wind and percussion instruments, academic and pop vocals, choreography.

The international jury from Poland, Ukraine, Great Britain, Moldova and other countries highly appreciated the performances of our students.

All students received 1st place, and in choreography – the Grand Prix. So, we congratulate the winners and their teachers:

Yan Xiao – 1st place in the nomination “Piano”, educator – Professor Olena Rebrova;

Ivan Petrov – 1st place in the nomination “Wind and percussion instruments”, educator – Hanna Ralo, laureate of international competitions;

Oleksandra Usatiuk – 1st place in the nomination “Pop vocals”, educatorr – Olena Margina;

Percussion ensemble – 1st place, artistic director, laureate of international competitions Hanna Ralo.

Yao Jinyu – Grand Prix in the nomination – Choreography, educator, associate professor Olha Mikulinska.

We would also like to congratulate the master’s student Valeria Medvetska; she presented her amateur choir, which took 1st place.

A pleasant surprise was the performance of our graduate student Liu Zhiguo, who also received a high award in the nomination "Academic Vocal" - 1st place. So, he successfully combines creativity with scientific activity. Liu Zhiguo will defend his dissertation in June.
