An open lecture by András Csáky, Hungarian guitarist, PhD

On April 28, 2026, an open lecture on the technique of mastering the guitar by András Csáky was held at the Educational and Scientific Institute of Musical and Performing Arts and Sociocultural Practices.

Let us recall that András Csáky is a Hungarian guitarist who has received 24 awards, including first prize at the 51st International Guitar Competition in Tokyo in 2008, as well as at the 42nd International M. Pittalugi Classical Guitar Competition in Alessandria, Italy, in 2009 and at the Julian Arcas Guitar Competition in Spain in 2011. In addition to solo concerts, he is also fond of chamber music. He has repeatedly had to perform guitar concertos with symphony orchestras in Hungary and abroad.

He is often invited to give master classes in different countries of the world, such as China, Estonia, France, Greece, India, Romania, Great Britain, USA. In 2009 (and until now) he was appointed as an associate professor at the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music in Budapest and in 2014 he received his doctorate from the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music.

András Csaki presented a lecture of a methodical nature with detailed explanations of the technical aspects of playing the guitar. The audience asked questions, to which they received very qualified answers and explanations. We thank András Csaki, we wish him further creative success.
