A career guidance event was held at the Municipal Institution “Odesa Pedagogical Professional College” organized by teachers of the Department of Preschool Pedagogy of the state institution “South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K. D. Ushynsky”.

The event was attended by: the students of the Municipal Institution “Odesa Pedagogical Professional College”; Head of the Cycle Commission of Pedagogy, Psychology and Professional Disciplines of Preschool Education, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences Listopad N. L.; Dean of the Faculty of Preschool Pedagogy and Psychology, Doctor of Psychological Sciences, Professor Bulgakova O. Yu.; Head of the Department of Preschool Pedagogy, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Listopad O. A.; Associate Professor of the Department of Preschool Pedagogy, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences Mardarova I. K.; Senior Lecturer, Department of Preschool Pedagogy, Doctor of Philosophy in Education Gudanych N. M.

The purpose of the event was to familiarize college students with the features of studying in specialty A2 Preschool Education, the prospects for professional development and opportunities for continuing their studies at a higher education institution. During the meeting, the teachers presented the educational and professional program, spoke about modern approaches to training future educators, and focused on the importance of the practical component of the educational process and the development of professional competencies.

The students were particularly interested in information about the organization of the educational process at the university, opportunities to participate in scientific circles, pedagogical practice, international projects, and academic mobility. The participants of the event received comprehensive answers to questions regarding the conditions of admission, study, and further employment.

Holding such career guidance meetings contributes to the formation of a conscious choice of profession, deepening cooperation between educational institutions, and ensuring continuity in the training of future specialists in the field of preschool education.
