An open lecture by Luciano Tortorelli - Italian guitarist, full professor of guitar at the Conservatory "G. Martucci" (AFAM)

An open lecture of Luciano Tortorelli, an Italian guitarist and full professor of guitar at the Conservatory "G. Martucci" (AFAM), was a real cultural journey from the basics of guitar music, from classical to modern. The origins of guitar performance skills turned out to be very interesting for graduate students and students, as they are connected with musical performance art of various forms and genres. The information presented, historical illustrations, and a deep scientific approach based on the historical principle to performance skills aroused interest not only among graduate students and students, but also among famous European art historians, such as S. Ship. German and Italian musicians also attended the lecture.

As a reminder, Tortorelli has a busy concert schedule as a soloist, and together with his brother Mauro, a violinist, he has appeared in many important musical institutions in different countries, including Carnegie Hall in New York, St. Martin-in-the-Fields in London, the Dublin Philharmonic, the Czech Guitar Society, the French Guitar Society in Metz, the Louis Leakey Memorial Hall in Nairobi, the Ravello Concert Society at Villa Rufolo, the International Lyceum Club concert series in Florence, the national television RAI, Radio Nacional Clasica – Argentina, the Slovkoncert agency in Slovakia, and others.

Professor Tortorelli is published in internationally recognized music and guitar magazines such as Revista Musical Catalana (Spain), GuitArt, Guitart International and dotGuitar (Italy).

Luciano Tortorelli, Savarez artist and Doozoo ambassador, is often invited as president of International Guitar Competitions and a masterclass teacher.
