Exhibition of student creative works "Japan: a dialogue between tradition and design"

At the Faculty of Art and Graphics of Ushynsky University, from June 8 to 14, 2026, an exhibition of student creative works “Japan: a dialogue of tradition and design” was held, organized by the Department of Professional Education and Design.

The participants of the exhibition were students of the educational and professional programs “Professional Education (Design)” (PE) and “Clothing Design” (CD), who presented their own creative projects dedicated to the artistic understanding of Japanese culture through the means of modern art and design.

The exhibition brought together works inspired by the traditions, symbolism, art and aesthetics of Japan. The exhibition presented author's illustrations, graphic series, calendar projects, fashion illustrations, digital painting works and other design works, in which students creatively interpreted images of Japanese culture.

The presented works demonstrated the high level of professional training of the students, the diversity of artistic techniques, the individuality of the author's vision and the ability to combine traditional cultural motifs with modern means of visual communication.

During the opening of the exhibition, the Dean of the Faculty of Art and Graphics, Yanina Mykolaivna Tverdokhlibova, addressed the participants and guests of the event with a welcoming speech, noting the high level of training of the students, their creative initiative, creativity and ability to combine cultural traditions of different peoples with modern design approaches.

The leaders of the creative project were the teachers of the Department of Professional Education and Design, Alla Viktorivna Lysogor and Tetyana Vitaliivna Steiner, who contributed to the implementation of the students' creative ideas and supported them in the process of creating the exhibition.

The project "Japan: Dialogue of Tradition and Design" became a notable artistic event of the faculty, contributed to the popularization of the cultural heritage of Japan and demonstrated the creative potential of future specialists in the field of design.

We sincerely thank all participants for their active creative work, inspiration and significant contribution to the creation of a meaningful and vibrant exhibition.
