On May 14, 2026, with the participation of the Center for International Projects and Programs of Ushynsky University, a cooperation agreement was concluded between the State Institution "South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K. D. Ushynsky" and the University of Central Lancashire - UCLan (Cyprus).

The signing of the agreement was an important step in expanding the international partnership of Ushynsky University and opens up new opportunities for the development of academic cooperation with a British university that actively develops international educational ties, student mobility, research cooperation and partnership programs with universities in different countries.

The agreement provides for the formation of a stable basis for cooperation in the field of education, science, international projects and academic exchange. Special attention is paid to the development of student mobility programs, the organization of short-term and long-term exchanges, the participation of education seekers in joint educational events, summer schools, guest lectures, trainings, practice-oriented programs and other formats of international academic experience.

For students of Ushynsky University, such cooperation creates additional opportunities for expanding their educational trajectory, improving English-language academic communication, getting acquainted with European and British approaches to organizing the educational process, as well as gaining experience in learning and professional growth in an international environment. In the future, the partnership may become the basis for implementing exchange programs, joint educational modules, academic visits, and student participation in international educational initiatives.

A separate area of ​​cooperation has been identified as the development of academic mobility of teachers and scientific and pedagogical workers. This includes the possibility of conducting guest lectures, joint seminars, scientific and methodological events, professional internships, exchanging experience in the field of teaching, digitalization of education, pedagogical innovations, ensuring the quality of education, and developing modern educational programs.

An important component of the partnership will also be joint participation in international educational and scientific projects, in particular within the framework of European Union programs and other international initiatives. Cooperation between universities opens up prospects for preparing joint project applications, organizing research groups, holding conferences, round tables, workshops, as well as disseminating best practices in the field of higher education.

Ushynsky University consistently develops international activities aimed at expanding academic opportunities for students and teachers, participating in joint educational and scientific initiatives, as well as strengthening the presence of the university in the European and global educational space.

Cooperation with the University of Central Lancashire opens up new horizons for academic dialogue, exchange of experience and implementation of joint initiatives that will contribute to the development of high-quality higher education, international mobility and integration of the Ukrainian university community into the global educational environment.
