On May 5–7, 2026, the Department of Ukrainian Philology and Methods of Teaching Professional Disciplines held a series of career guidance meetings in secondary education institutions in Odesa region.

Over the course of three days, the department's teachers visited six educational institutions, including four lyceums of Odesa City Council:

Odesa Lyceum No. 1 named after A. P. Bystrina;

Odess Lyceum No. 49;

Odesa Lyceum No. 15;

Odess Lyceum No. 73;

as well as two supporting educational institutions of Odssa region:

Support educational institution "Prychornomorsky Lyceum" of Vyzyr village council, Odesa district, Odesa region;

Support educational institution "Vyzyrska Lyceum" of Vyzyrka village council, Odesa district, Odesa region.

These meetings were held within the framework of developing partnership cooperation with secondary education institutions and implementing signed agreements with Ushynsky University. The executive secretary of the admissions committee, D. O. Dyachok, familiarized students of grades 10–11 with the features of the admission campaign, areas of training, and learning conditions in detail and answered the participants' questions.

The department's teachers, led by the head of the practice of the Faculty of History and Philology, T. O. Yevtushyna, presented the bachelor's educational and professional program "Secondary Education (Ukrainian Language and Literature. English Language and Foreign Literature)" using modern digital technologies and interactive communication formats.

The high school students learned about the unique advantages of the program, including the opportunity to obtain two pedagogical qualifications, receive high-quality practical training, take advantage of academic mobility opportunities, choose modern elective disciplines, and confidently begin a professional path in the field of education.

The meetings in institutions of Odesa region, where the career guidance team of the department worked together with the Dean of the Faculty of History and Philology O. O. Kon, the laboratory assistant of the department Ya. Bazarna and the secretary of the admissions committee M. Lysenko, were especially valuable. In today's difficult conditions, communication took place in different conditions - both in computer classes and in shelters - but invariably in an atmosphere of open dialogue, interest and sincere communication.

We are sincerely grateful to the administrations of educational institutions, teaching staff and students for the warm welcome, activity and meaningful questions. We are convinced that future students of Ushynsky University will be among the participants of these meetings.

It is especially pleasing that new invitations to career guidance meetings in September-October have already been received. This means that our cooperation continues, expands, and opens up new opportunities for future entrants.
