On April 29, 2026, the Second All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference “History and Archaeology of Ukraine: Modern Trends in Research” was held. The conference brought together young scientists, postgraduate students, masters and bachelors from higher educational institutions and scientific institutions in various cities of Ukraine, Bulgaria and Poland.
Andrii Krasnozhon, Professor, Rector of the University; Maryna Hrynyova, Professor, Rector of Poltava V. G. Korolenko National Pedagogical University; Yurii Slyusar, Managing Director of Odesa Museum of Regional History; Roman Sitarchuk, Professor, Head of the Department of History of Ukraine of Poltava V. G. Korolenko National Pedagogical University, addressed the participants of the scientific gathering with welcoming words.
The conference had 4 sections: Ancient and Medieval History and Archaeology of Ukraine, History of Ukraine in Modern and Modern Times, Regional History and Historical Local Lore, Problems of Protection of Historical and Cultural Monuments, which created a scientific platform for exchanging experience and ideas, discussing one's own discoveries and conducting scientific dialogues.
The participants of the conference showed a high level of professional training, actively discussed reports and asked relevant questions. The communication of young scientists and education seekers, who gathered to study and popularize archaeology and history of Ukraine, showed that historical science is actively developing, integrating into the European space, rethinking the source base and becoming a tool for preserving cultural memory in conditions of military challenges.
At the closing of the conference, its results were summarized and the best reports were awarded. All participants received certificates, which are also posted in electronic form on the website of the Department of History of Ukraine of Ushynsky University. The reports will be published as articles in the electronic collection of conference materials.
