Advanced training courses for choreographers were held at South Ukrainian Pedagogical University

On April 20, 2026, advanced training courses for choreographers under the program “Musicality as the basis for the formation of performing skills in various areas of choreography” were launched for the first time at the state institution “South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K. D. Ushynsky”.

The program was aimed at developing professional competencies and deepening knowledge in the field of musical accompaniment of dance. The participants had the opportunity to improve their skills in musical literacy, rhythm and metrorhythm, as well as get acquainted with modern methodological approaches to the development of musicality in choreographers.

Special emphasis was placed on the practical component of training. The students mastered tools that can be directly applied in professional activities. An important feature of the course was its interdisciplinary nature: the work covered such areas as modern, jazz, improvisation and folk stage dance, which allowed participants to more deeply understand the universality of the musical text and its role in creating a choreographic image.

The educational process combined theoretical classes with intensive practice, which contributed to the formation of a creative atmosphere, professional exchange of experience and the establishment of new professional contacts. The participants noted the relevance of the course topics and the high level of its organization.

The organizers express their sincere gratitude to all the students for their activity and interest in professional development.

Special thanks are addressed to the teachers of the Department of Musical Art and Choreography, who ensured the conduct of the course: Olha Mikulinska, Nina Lisovska, Yulia Volkova and Anastasia Bilyaeva. Thanks to their professionalism and inspiration, the training became meaningful and useful for each participant.

The University hopes for further meetings within the framework of educational initiatives and new joint projects.
